Desmond Tutu Premium Apron

£25.00

A gift for those who love, those who hope, those who believe. The striking design on this apron combines the dove of peace and hope with the rainbow of diversity and features a quote from Desmond Tutu, the South African social rights activist who became the first Black Archbishop of Cape Town and rose to worldwide fame during the 1980s as an opponent of apartheid.

Desmond Tutu, who died on 26th December 2021, continued his defence for the oppressed until well into old age, campaigning against sexism, homophobia and transphobia as well as spearheading the fight against HIV, AIDS, tuberculosis and poverty.

The quote on this apon reads: 'Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness.’

The apron is large and made from half Panama unbleached cotton (heavy weight, textured finish). Length is approx 37in and the width 28in. The apron has an adjustable neck loop and extra long ties (35.5in) that can be fastened in front or behind.

Machine wash at 110 degrees max.
