History Through The Black Experience

This is a two-volume collection of books about the influence of people of Black heritage throughout history,

Black people have always been part of the historical narrative. Black people have had successes and failures, pain and delights, achievements and loss, adventure and invention, creativity and wisdom. Black people have kings and queens, chiefs and politicians, scientists, writers, singers, dancers; indeed Black people have always been present in the human story.

These two detailed books aim to shine a light illuminating stories of courage, often against incredible odds, capturing experiences from around the world from people of Black heritage looking at the great, the good, the bad, the beautiful and the ugly.

The books were developed from a wall calendar that summarised these events (On This Day! also available). However, users of the calendar wanted more detailed information and so the books were compiled.

Each volume is divided into months and days and contains meticulously-researched information about each event.

A great gift for someone who would like to learn more about the history of Black people throughout the world.
